Question 1

Does the user need to save my phone number first?

Accepted Answer

No. When scanned, WhatsApp automatically opens a 1-on-1 chat window directly with your number, even if they have not added you to their phone contacts.

Question 2

How does the pre-filled message work?

Accepted Answer

You can specify an initial greeting such as "Hi, I am interested in your pricing". When the user scans the code, this text will appear in their WhatsApp compose box ready to send.

Question 3

Do I need to include country codes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, enter your full phone number including your international country code (e.g. 1 for US/Canada, 91 for India, 44 for UK) without plus signs or special characters.
